Casino Royale is the first novel by the British author Ian Fleming. Published in 1953, it is the first James Bond book, and it paved the way for a further eleven novels and two short story collections by Fleming, followed by numerous continuation Bond novels by other authors.
Fleming’s first Bond novel, Casino Royale was released in 1952 and was an instant success demanding 3 print runs. 11 further Bond novels and two short-story collections followed between 1953 and 1966.
First book in the Bond series, orig published in Britain in hardcover in 1953 & then in various paperback editions in the US throughout the 1960s. This is the first British mass market paperback edition from Triad Panther, a first printing from 1978.
