Eastern Iowa Honor Flight departs from The Eastern Iowa Airport in Cedar Rapids and takes World War II, Korean War, Vietnam and advanced health concerns veterans to Washington, DC to see memorials and monuments built in their honor.
Veterans of World War II have carried that awareness with them for nearly 60 years. In July of 2002, a select group of veterans gathered in Cedar Rapids to remember an airplane that symbolizes their priceless contribution to freedom.
