Amazon is generally a great place to buy a phone from, LetsTalk as well. Best Buy has decent prices and the benefit of a brick and mortar store. Thunderbolt is probably the best Android phone on Verizon right now, the Droid Charge is ok, but it's crazy priced, even at Amazon.
Around here, if you want to use your cell as your only phone, the only way to get consistently reliable service is to have Verizon. We got by on t-mobile for about a year before getting fed up and switching to Verizon.
I have received very good phones from Amazon Renewed, Backmarket and Ebay. The odds of getting one with minor case scuffs is about the same across the board, as all of these websites are selling phones from different refurbishing companies.
If you have a 5G phone, T-Mobile is likely the best. If not, Verizon still wins. So far T-Mobile is the only carrier to have widely deployed 5G on dedicated frequencies.
If you look up Mints BBB complaints there are over 1000 of them now, but only 6 are “unresolved”. Mint looks at each complaint and tries to resolve every one of them. This is supposed to be a last line of defense when contacting support does not work, but actually can accomplish things with Mint.
