I found a way because I had the same problem it was super frustrating. All you have to do is load into epic games launcher and go to settings. Scroll down and get to the Fortnite section, click additional command line arguments. Enter “-dx11” in the text box thing and enter. Launch Fortnite and it should work.
You could never change the date for this game. Its a live service game. You can't do such things.
