26 Ιαν 2015 · If you want to change the way the date is formatted in a certain language, you can go to the Insert tab->Date and time. Then a window will pop up with a list of ways to format dates and times in that language: To set one as default, pick one and click on the Default button.

With the shortcuts ALT + SHIFT + D or ALT + SHIFT + T you can insert the current time and date in Word. So far so good, but unfortunately the American time format is displayed with 2x12h and this is also translated to german.
9 Δεκ 2015 · You need to turn on the 'Developer' tab in the ribbon. Once the 'Developer' tab is there - select the date element on your form. Click 'Design Mode - and then click 'Properties'. You will be able to select the date format you want from the properties window that pops up. This link helped.
