In January 2025, New York City will implement the nation's first congestion pricing program. Starting on January 5, 2025, vehicles entering the Congestion Relief Zone in Manhattan—local streets and avenues at or below 60 Street—will be charged a toll.
Toll rates depend on the bridge or tunnel, the type of vehicle, and other factors. For example, vehicles entering the Congestion Relief Zone (Manhattan below and including 60 Street) will be charged a toll starting January 5, 2024.
