9 Μαρ 2022 · This results in the hinge bracket placing strain on the metal chassis and in the case of the right hinge one of the hinge screws is fixed to the plastic. This just breaks off! It is a manufacturing fault in terms of the tight hinge and weak plastic anchor point.
Anyone having an issue that appears to be a broken hinge on their 3520 Dell laptop you are probably correct. I just had an onsite Dell tech replace both hinges (pictures attached). The issue according to the tech is an unofficial manufacturer's defect with the way the hinge anchors are molded into the plastic.
