27 Μαΐ 2024 · I found that both gauges were reading the same and I gave it another test run. So driving it around less than 40 mph, the oil pressure begins to drop again, However, it only goes down to about 20 PSI. Doing some research I found that some LS motors (probably heavy miles) can operate around 20 PSI and be ok.
10 Δεκ 2020 · The LS series engines are supposedly pretty tough engines, therefore, I'd be inclined to question why the first pump quit, and determine if whatever did, hasn't sabotaged the next two pumps. With 3 failed pumps, I'd be looking pretty deep into the engine.....
This condition may be caused by a sticking oil pressure relief valve within the oil pump assembly. ⇒ If vehicle was built after the breakpoint date, follow service information for the condition noted. It’s not necessary to follow the steps below for this cause. Correction.
