The College of Agriculture has a mission to discover, share, and disseminate knowledge of integrated agricultural and environmental systems to students, the agricultural community, and society.
With nearly 400 declared Agriculture majors, the College of Agriculture at Chico State is large enough to provide an outstanding agriculture education, yet small enough to offer unique opportunities for student involvement.
The Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Science covers agriscience and technology. Options are offered in agricultural science and education; and agricultural communication and leadership. State-of-the-art procedures reflect the science-based nature of agriculture and natural resource management in the 21st century.
The Master of Science in Agricultural Education seeks to meet the needs of today’s agricultural educators. Courses include topics such as teacher pedagogy, research, communications, and leadership development.
The Bachelor of Science in Plant and Soil Science program at Chico State provides students with a thorough understanding of crop production integrated with all aspects of agricultural resource management.
