Hike, Bike, & Ride. China Camp offers visitors 15 miles of multi-use trails, accessing tidal wetlands, lush forests, and grassy wide meadows. Here’s a sampling of some of our most popular routes. For more details, see our park brochure and map.
China Camp Village. Visit our historic shrimping village and beach area on the edge of San Pablo Bay. The village is the perfect place to bring friends and family for a fun day trip. Visit our museum to learn more about China Camp’s fascinating history. Stop by our historic cafe on weekends for snacks and cold drinks.

China Camp State Park is a destination for hikers, mountain bikers, families, and history lovers. Tucked in San Pablo Bay, the park offers expansive waterfront views and miles of diverse trails. The park is also home to a diversity of wildlife, such as deer and turkeys.

Featured Hike: Turtle Back Hill Trail. Turtle Back Hill Trail is the place to go for up-close views of China Camp’s spectacular marsh. The hiking trail (no bikes allowed) circumnavigates Turtle Back Hill in just about one mile. Interpretive signs along the trail provide insights and context.
