there are close to 150 chinese factory codes, below are a small portion of codes i have collected pic on. please check your Chinese SKS and see if your factory code is on this list , if not, would you kindly post a close up pic of the factory code, the serial numbers (you may block off the last couple of digits) and the area where the barrel mee...
I'm baffled by the 8 followed by a dash and the serial number, as most other SKS rifles except for the ones manufactured in factory 0406 contain this. Sling and swivel are located underneath the buttstock so I'm going to assume this is a ChiCom.

5 Απρ 2021 · The first variation observed (like yours) has the 70 preceding the rectangle arsenal code and a one to two digit code after the arsenal marking followed by a six digit serial number. The most likely meaning of the 70 prefix is 1970 production.
