Chinook Pass (elevation 5430 ft./1656 m.) is a pass through the Cascade Range in the state of Washington. The pass is located on the crest of the Cascade Range, along a ridge between Yakima Peak to the northwest of the pass, and Naches Peak to the southeast.
The Chinook Pass Scenic Byway traverses the northeast corner of Mount Rainier National Park, a true Washington wonderland. Just 15 miles off the byway, via the White River entrance (a $15 fee per car is required), is the scenic drive to the park’s Sunrise Visitor Center, the mountain’s highest elevation (6,400 feet) accessible by car.

Traversing Chinook Pass on the north side of Mount Rainier National Park, the Chinook Scenic Byway offers unique beauty and awe-inspiring views. Anchored by majestic Mount Rainier, the corridor traverses the mighty Cascade Range between Enumclaw and Naches along State Route 410.
107-mile SR 410, also called the "Stephen Mather Memorial Parkway," includes the Chinook Scenic Byway. It begins at SR 167 in Sumner and travels southeast to where it meets US 12 in Naches. Closes during the winter months due to snowfall.
