26 Σεπ 2024 · The history of Cinar began in 1976 when husband-and-wife team Ronald Weinberg and Micheline Charest founded the company in Montreal, Canada. Initially, the business was a small distributor focused on bringing educational European films to North America.
The logo was preserved on the Canadian-English channel BBC Kids (until the channel ceased operations on December 31, 2018) and on Knowledge Network, but otherwise, it was plastered with the 2004 Cookie Jar logo when This TV aired the series.

1994–2004. The space between the red square in the 'I' was narrowed, in addition to the last three letters now being disconnected from each other; the company was shut down in 2004 after a major accounting scandal and was sold to a group led by Nelvana founder Michael Hirsh, and former Nelvana president Toper Taylor for CA$190 million.
