The Citation X is powered by two Rolls-Royce AE3007C2 turbofan engines with 6,764 pounds of thrust, giving it a range pf 3,111 nm with four passengers and available fuel. This jet is claimed to be the fastest business aircraft in production at Mach .935.
Citation X+. In 2010, Cessna initiated a major update of the aircraft, initially dubbed the Citation Ten, which included upgraded AE3007C2 engines with new fans, Garmin G5000 flight displays with three 14-inch (36 cm) screens, and an autothrottle system.
The Cessna Citation X is a twin-engine medium size business jet. Its exterior is characterized by a 37º swept wing with 527 sqft of area, which allows for extremely high speeds for business jets. For comparison, the Citation X’s top speed is slightly higher than the Vne of the Soviet Mikoyan-i-Gurevich MiG-15bis fighter of Korean war fame.
