Backpacks are not permitted at Citi Field, however other bags such as purses, diaper bags that are not backpack-style, tote, drawstring, fully clear backpack-style bags with no obscured inner pockets and messenger style bags along with small soft-sided coolers are still permitted.
Citi field bag policy: did they recently change it or is it just inconsistently enforced? Discussion. Had trouble bringing in the same bag today that got in last Saturday and another game. It's a Columbia collapsible "backpack". It has one large pocket like a string bag and is similar in size.
