Pet owners will continue to receive annual notices for license renewal but it will not be necessary to submit a vaccination certificate each year to renew the license. If you use the triennial vaccine you will receive a notice on the third year reminding you it is necessary to revaccinate your pet.

Call Houston Police Animal Control at 713.884.3131 to report animal abuse, fighting or other mistreatment and/or animals in distress. If you have a wild animal or reptile in your yard, in the vicinity of your home or where you are: It is not necessary to call.
Houston Code of Ordinances, Chapter 6, Article III, Sec. 6-54 - Temporary permit; registration for productions. The wild animal will be in the direct charge of its trainer or another person who is familiar with the wild animal and has been trained in its handling and care;
BARC will respond to service requests where there is a possibility of a rabies exposure, a wild animal inside a living room or bedroom, or there is an animal in a humane trap that is considered a high risk for carrying rabies, such as skunks, foxes, coyotes or raccoons.
A City of Houston pet registration identifies and protects your pet in case it becomes lost. Even indoor pets can get out and become lost. You are required to renew your registration yearly and updated when you move and/or your pet is given away, lost, stolen or is deceased.
The building permit application process is completed via the iPermits portal. Once the application process is complete, a project number will be assigned. The project number is a unique number that all of the permits associated with project will be pulled under.
