The City of Lakeway ordinances require the issuance of building permits as a method of enforcing minimum codes and standards for all applicable construction and remodeling within the City.
The provisions of this chapter shall not be construed to prohibit the issuance of permits (except private sewerage facility permit) for any lot upon which a safe building exists and upon which said building was in existence prior to passage of this chapter.

(a) Permit required. No special use shall be established, operated, or maintained except as authorized by a special use permit issued in accordance with the requirements of this section.
