The department oversees the municipal water utility, which includes 3 treatment plants, 6 wells and more than 70 miles of service pipeline.

The Streets and Maintenance Division is responsible for maintaining 57 miles of paved roadways and rights-of-way within the City, accompanying sidewalks, traffic signs and street markings, 261,000 square feet of boardwalks and bicycle paths throughout the city, as well as 56 city-owned buildings and structures.
