Refuse collection for the disposal of ordinary household refuse takes place weekly. Curbside recycling is for the removal of co-mingled metal cans/glass and co-mingled newspaper /corrugated cardboard. Recycling is picked up on a bi weekly basis. The city provides an additional service to pick up larger household items on an as needed basis.

The Curbside Recycling Program Schedule is updated each calendar year. Remove plastic delivery bag and inserts (coupons, flyers, etc.). Bundle and place beside recycling bin.
20 Σεπ 2023 · The citywide metal collections days will be held Sept. 28 and 29, with household items collected from Oct. 2 through Oct. 6. Household items will be picked up on residents’ regular garbage collection day. This service will be provided to current City of Weirton Sanitation Customers only.
17 Σεπ 2024 · The Clean Up Week will go from Sept. 30 through Oct. 4, with household items collected on residents’ regular garbage collection day. Items must be placed on the curb no later than 7 a.m. the day of collection.
20 Μαρ 2024 · WEIRTON — The City of Weirton has announced the dates for its annual spring cleanup activities. Metal collections will take place April 4 and April 5, with household items picked up April 8 through April 12, with services provided only to current city sanitation customers.
23 Μαρ 2022 · The 2022 City of Weirton Spring Clean Up will be scheduled beginning on Monday, April 4, 2022, through Friday, April 8, 2022. This service will be provided to Current City of Weirton Sanitation Customers only. The Clean Up PIck Up week will be on the same day as your regular Garbage Day. 1.
