Teachers with certain types of student loans may qualify for partial loan forgiveness, deferment, or cancellation benefits. Eligibility for these benefits depends on the type of loan the teacher has, the date of his or her first loan, and whether the teacher serves in a designated low-income school or subject matter teacher shortage area.
The Federal Teacher Loan Forgiveness Program is one of three loan forgiveness programs available to Texas teachers. If you are not eligible for the federal program, please review the Teach for Texas Loan Repayment Assistance and the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.

31 Δεκ 2023 · To be eligible, you must: Complete an undergraduate program in mathematics or science with at least a 3.0 GPA on the 4.0 scale. Become a certified teacher under Texas Education Code. Be a full-time classroom teacher at a Title 1 Texas public school in science or mathematics.
