In its interrogation of poetry and its limit, the Arabic prose poem allows for a new conception of form that does not exist outside the poem but grows from inside of it. It invites us as critics and readers of Arabic poetry to revisit our understanding of structure in poetry ( bināʾ ) and use that to arrive at form.
