'Ville de Lyon' is a large-flowering, hybrid clematis that features profuse, showy, 4-6" diameter, carmine red flowers with golden stamens. Bloom on this cultivar comes primarily from the current year's growth, and covers the vine for most of the summer.
Clematis 'Ville de Lyon' has 5-7 inch, bright purplish-red flowers with a mid-pink bar; center of petals fade with age or sun to mauve, while the edges retain their color.
