14 Ιουλ 2022 · After two years, the Learning Center and Money Museum at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland will reopen its doors to visitors on Monday, July 18, with new exhibits and updated safety protocols. The focus of the interactive displays and exhibits is still on the value of money.
Stand beneath our 23-foot-tall money tree, trade on Barter Islands, try to identify counterfeit dollar bills, and make your own currency! Experience our hands-on, interactive exhibits to learn about the history of money, central banking in the United States, cash operations, cybersecurity, and more.
Come see our historic lobby, take pictures with our money tree, trade coconuts on Barter Island, identify counterfeit bills, and even make your own money! All this in the heart of Cleveland, just steps away from downtown attractions. Admission is free and photos are welcome. Duration: < 1 hour.
16 Απρ 2023 · The museum tells the history of money in reader-friendly wall displays, from the 1907 bank panic through the COVID-19 pandemic. The bank even does a good job of breaking down monetary policy, with a display and accompanying brochure likening the weighty subject to characters in The Wizard of Oz .
In January 2006, the bank opened the Learning Center and Money Museum, replacing the public teller windows vacated after September 11, 2001. Over 30 hands-on exhibits focus on the history of money, its effects on societies and cultures, and its central role in peoples' lives. [4]
