The GI trouble wasn't specifically from the Clif Blocks but from the race in general. I was about 50 miles into a 100-miler and going out to fast and the heat caught up to me. I started getting nauseous and couldn't tolerate any solids which was getting me further behind on nutirtion.
8 Αυγ 2017 · Shot Bloks come somewhere in between: a stick of chewy jelly. The consistency is like the jelly cubes you add water to for making jelly at kids' parties. Thicker than a gel, but much easier on the teeth (and so quicker to get down) than a cereal-style bar. It tastes a bit like those jelly cubes too. I was testing the strawberry flavour.
30 Μαρ 2023 · For starters, Clif Bloks are sweet but not too sweet. They chew and swallow easily when I’m tired. They come in enough flavors that I’m not eating the same ones all the time. They’re easy to carry.

11 Ιουν 2014 · Did the Bloks give me energy? I think so. I got a nice sugar rush, so the Bloks seem to have more of an effect than Clif Shot gels ever did for me. I can even ration the energy as I see fit. Each tube has two 100-calorie servings (3 bloks each,) which means 6 total bloks and 200 calories per package.
