9 Οκτ 2004 · I suspect some OEM manufacturers do realise this new formualation of say, 75W90 would result in drop in differential gear oil operating viscosity at an operating temperature they know best (which I would hazard a guess at 55*C-65*C depending on specific applications).

80w90 Gear Oil. 80w90 synthetic oil can be used both as a lubricant for non-synchronized manual transmissions for busses and trucks and in extreme-pressure applications. The 80w90 is recommendable for limited slip and conventional differentials. The 80W90 has two viscosity grades. The W shows how the oil is stable during the winter season.
