I'm using National instruments, both the Vision Builder software ($2500) and full Labview($20000) using $900 Flir cameras. No complaints so far.
COGNEX was generally cheaper to add to a machine being made in Mexico and shipped up, but KEYENCE was local and was great for quick fixes (say IV3 cameras for a customer complaint as a “temporary solution”).
We've had pitches and demos from their competition, but none that were more appealing than Cognex for full fledged deep learning machine vision. That said I will make a couple recommendations based on my experience:
