25 Φεβ 2019 · Components in a cold air intake. The components needed for air intakes are quite simple. You will need aluminium pipes, silicone hoses, hose clamps and an air fliter. If you are looking to build custom air intakes then we supply high-quality parts to build your system.
Test fit upper air box lid on lower air box to make sure that the filter orientation is not causing misalignment between the air boxes. Rotate filter as necessary to clear lower air box. Once the correct orientation is found, tighten clamp with 8mm wrench.
Locate the D401-0016 Air Filter with Clamp. Install the Filter onto the Intake Tube with the clamp screw below the Tube and facing forward. Rotate the Air Filter so it is parallel with the wheel well liner face and level when viewed from the front. Tighten clamp.
3) Installation of the AEM Cold Air Intake System. When installing the Cold Air Intake System, DO NOT completely tighten the hose clamps or mounting tab hardware until instructed to do so later in these instructions. Install coupler onto throttle body, utilizing the supplied hose clamps.
Our hose clamps are designed to fit 2.5, 3, 3.5 and 4 inch outside diameter hoses and couplers, whereas our collar clamps are designed to fit 3, 3.5 and 4 inch air intake tubing.
