The Cold Harbor Battlefield is roughly 12 miles from Richmond and is a part of the Richmond National Battlefield Park. The 50-acre park includes a driving tour, hiking trails and numerous Civil War trenches and rifle pits. Cold Harbor National Cemetery is one half mile east of the Visitor Center. Featured Trail
Located on the Cold Harbor Battlefield less than ten miles from the Confederate capital of Richmond, the cemetery comprises graves for soldiers recovered from battlefields at Cold Harbor, Gaines' Mill, Savage's Station, and Mechanicsville.

Drive through the park to enjoy nature's beauty or stop along the way to read informative plaques and a monument to the 2nd Connecticut Volunteer Heavy Artillery, or walk along several well kept trails throughout the battlefield. Map and directions to the cemetery. The cemetery is on the north side of Cold Harbor Road about 0.5 mile east of the Visitor Center. There is a very small parking pulloff right in front of the building along the north side of Cold Harbor Road. (37.589062° N, 77.279969° W)
