I'm trying to mount an electric trolling motor to my coleman ram-x canoe. The frame is aluminum and doesn't have a lot of overhang. I was wondering if anyone else has mounted a bracket to this type of canoe and can tell me what kinds of mounting options I can use.
8 Νοε 2017 · I’d get some stainless steel strapping (“flat stock”) in roughly the same width as those cracked aluminum frame sections. You can get this at any hardware store. Pre-bend pieces of that flat stock to match the bend on the existing frame sections.
21 Ιουλ 2021 · Coleman 15.5 Ram-X Canoe duly named the SS Blazing Paddles. This canoe is great if floating a river. Durable yet flexible. Able to drag the hell out of those cankerous shoals and stable enough to ram a sunken tree in flooded waters.
27 Απρ 2018 · I just got a 15' Coleman RamX canoe, 5905b719. Does anyone have any experience with these craft? I am thinking it will be used by me solo 75% of the time with my two kids (100 and 120 lbs.) joining me 25% of the time.
Tough, quiet, resilient. And lightweight enough to ride on most cartops. (No trailer to buy!) This favorite, like all Coleman RAM-X canoes, is warranted for one year.
6 Φεβ 2012 · I drilled a hole through the block for the mast step and capped the base with an aluminium plate. To fit the mast cradle into the canoe I removed the front seat, a molded plastic panel, to reveal the two tubular cross thwart frames.
23 Οκτ 2024 · Easy for the beginner to handle, yet satisfying for the more experienced canoeist. The sloping keel reduces sideslip for good tracking on lakes and streams, while allowing maneuverability for whitewater.
