The Carolina Disco Turkeys and Uwharrie Wampus Cats have joined the Southern Collegiate Baseball League, bringing the league to eight teams for 2024. The Disco Turkeys, with their national brand and passionate local fanbase in Winston-Salem, are in their fourth year as a summer collegiate program.

Entering its fifteenth season, the SCBL will give 150 college players the opportunity to compete and develop their skills this summer. The League also provides positions for 15 coaches, and a number of summer internships for college students and recent graduates.
