Before I get started, I should tell you that you don't have to go through all the following books and resources. Depending on your needs, you might need to use some of them in your preparation. Collins Practice Tests for IELTS 1 is suitable for practice questions like in a real exam situation to prepare psychologically and feel the best in the exam room. Of course, the exam questions that reflect the most appropriate capacity are those of Cambridge Press.
The IELTS practice tests that come closest to the actual exam are those published by the official IELTS test makers, IDP and the British Council. They offer a series of practice materials that mirror the format and difficulty level of the real test.

ieltsonlinetests.com is a good resource for practice. If you're from India and if you register through IDP, they send you a book with 4 practice tests. Here's what I followed: I took a practice test from ieltsonlinetests.com to gauge where I currently stand and to get familiar with the test. I watched almost all videos from E2 IELTS on YouTube.
