3 Ιουν 2024 · A combinational logic circuit is a circuit whose outputs only depend on the current state of its inputs. In mathematical terms, the each output is a function of the inputs. These functions can be described using logic expressions, but is most often (at least initially) using truth tables. Logic gates are the simplest combinational circuits.
NAND gate performs the opposite function to an AND gate. A logic gate is a small transistor circuit, basically a type of amplifier, which is implemented in different forms within an integrated circuit. Each type of gate has one or more (most often two) inputs and one output.
The basic logic gates are the inverter (or NOT gate), the AND gate, the OR gate and the exclusive-OR gate (XOR). If you put an inverter in front of the AND gate, you get the NAND gate etc. One of the common tool in specifying a gate function is the truth table.
The outputs of the gates assume at all times the value of the Boolean function, implemented by the circuit. In contrast, a dynamic circuit relies on temporary storage of signal values on the capacitance of high impedance circuit nodes.

The following are the basic steps to design a combinational circuits. Define the problem. Determine the number of input and output variables. Fix a letter symbols to the input and the outputs. (eg. A,B,C ,w, x, Y,F, etc) Get the relationship between input and output from the truth table.
