You're trying to check a service, not an ICMP response. What do you see on this for FTP. # nmap -Pn -p 21 [ip address/dns name] Should say: PORT STATE SERVICE 21/tcp open ftp

4 Μαρ 2019 · Looks like your trying to connect to Secure FTP (FTPS) with a plain FTP client using Plain Text (or vice versa) Network looks fine since your getting in. Now you just need to get your server configured appropriately.
Here is my suggestion to you. Use the 24.21.219.49 IP address to log into the FTP server. When you are prompted for the user name and password, try your comcast user name and password.
I need port 22 (SSH) to connect to AWS, and any FTP site that requires SFTP. Thinking Xfinity was blocking port 22 on their hardware, I bought a Netgear CM1000 modem and Netgear R7000 wireless router.
6 Αυγ 2018 · I can connect through FTP on my home network (centurylink) and even using my work computer when connecting through my verzion phone as a hotspot. But for some reason, through comcast - it fails on directory lisiting!
