Comic-book dollar sales were around $420 million, a 16% increase over the prepandemic year of 2019 and a whopping 53% increase over 2020, which had many fewer new comics releases. The comic-book total is higher than any in unadjusted dollars since the early 1990s.

2 Φεβ 2023 · Over $1.16 billion of comic sales in 2021 were generated through bookstores, which presents 56.14% of total comic book revenue. At the same time, only 33.9% of revenue came from comic book stores in 2021, accounting for $705 million in sales revenue.
2022 Comic Book Sales to Comics Shops. Of the three major distributors of comic books to comics shops at the outset of 2022 — Diamond Comic Distributors, Penguin Random House, and Lunar DIstribution — only Diamond released any sales data during the year.
