Below you will find a list of reentry programs in Alabama that offer a wide variety of helpful services for felons/ex-offenders just getting out of prison and reentering society. We try to keep our Alabama list up to date as possible but if you know of any other programs please submit them here.
6 Μαρ 2024 · MONTGOMERY – A northeast Alabama nonprofit will use a $42,000 grant awarded by Gov. Kay Ivey to launch a program to help formerly incarcerated men re-enter their communities in four counties. Extended Family serves families of incarcerated people in Calhoun, Cherokee, DeKalb and Etowah counties.
1 Μαΐ 2024 · This pilot will provide housing, case management, and wraparound services for 30-50 individuals in the inaugural year. Prospective participants will enroll as soon as they leave state prison, either through parole, mandatory early release, or at the end of their sentence.

9 Ιουλ 2024 · Prisons Alabama organization receives $1.5 million to help inmates re-enter society. The Southwest Alabama Partnership for Training and Employment was awarded a $1.5 million Pathway Home grant to help reduce recidivism.
29 Αυγ 2024 · In 2023, Alabama was one of the first states to sign on to the Reentry 2030 national framework, which focuses on dramatically improving success for people exiting prison and those under supervision. That success means treating longstanding issues while also providing a path to employment.
Second Chance Act Strengthening Families and Children of Incarcerated Parents. This grant program provided funding to nonprofit organizations that delivered services to foster engagement between incarcerated parents, children, and their caregivers, as well as to promote positive youth development.
