Just recently, this secure search bar have been appearing on a new type on Chrome. I have looked for ways to rid of it, from using the cleanup tool, to resetting chrome settings. None of these solutions have worked.
So today I logged on to my chrome and saw my google chrome keeps on getting changed to a malicious hijacker, secure search. I removed a few days ago but it came back today. Does anyone know why it keeps on coming back?
Try getting a vpn. I found the definitive answer that works also in case you are using an app like Infinity and it does censor all NSFW subreddits despite your preferences. You have to check the settings on old Reddit panel as written in this post. Only from there you can unlock NSFW results permanently. This is a very bad web usability design.
It wasn't random. You clicked on something, knowingly or not, that installed Secure Search https://www.privacyend.com/secure-search/
I keep going into chrome and the top search bar keeps changing to Yahoo Secure search. based on the URL i dont think that it is a fake, but i go into settings and change it back every so often and remove Secure search from my search engines for good measure just in case.
