21 Οκτ 2021 · My current approach has been to create my own improved synthetic blend of the T4 and stick to the the T4 since the cost is significantly lower and oil is consistently available. Wondering if it would be efficient to continue my method or switching to T5 or T6 and cutting out the FR3 additive?
9 Μαρ 2023 · All three Rotella oils - T4, T5, and T6 - are CK-4 and CJ-4 compliant. There are long lists of engine manufacturer approvals for all three (though not Perkins which is understandable). Further, I looked at the data sheet for each and summarized several of the metrics.
15 Οκτ 2017 · Was at Rural King yesterday and grabbed a 5 gal bucket of Rotella 15w-40, was thrown off a little because it was a yellow bucket instead of white and a different label than what T4 normally is. As i was checking out i realized it was T5 and not T4, but rang up as T4 at $59.
15 Αυγ 2023 · Shell Rotella T4 is not generally synthetic, although Rotella t4 and t5 Synthetic Mix have recently been developed to meet modern API CK 4 standards for diesel-powered motor oil. It offers the same protection as an SAE 15W-40 and a synthesized blend of massive engine oil.
