16 Αυγ 2020 · Level 1. 36 points. iPad via HDMI to monitor, no sound. Hi all I have the newer iPad (A1893) and I tried connecting it to an external 4K LG monitor. The video works fine but I can’t get the audio to play out of the iPad. Which is frustrating because I got the Apple HDMI adapter for this.
1 Δεκ 2013 · If you have no sound at all, even in the Music App, try rebooting the iPad. Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons.

Try connecting your iPad to your external device via Bluetooth first, and then switch to HDMI. Wait until your iPad recognizes your device and connects to it.
