Server rooms shall generally house servers, backup robots (if no dedicated backup room is provided) and the necessary network electronics for establishing a local computer network in the server room.
29 Σεπ 2007 · In our research we provide a dynamic model of a Secure Server Room as a result of collecting and critically analyzing existing recommendations coming from small datacenter facilities providers, IT industry standards and ICT practitioners.
Any room containing one or more computers used to provide services to a group of users via the network is considered a server room. This ranges from small server closets to larger datacenters. Site locations should be safe from exposure to fire, flood, explosions and other similar hazards.
By assessing the criticality, capacity and growth of application design and requirements, IT can develop a better understanding of storage, server, and network requirements for the server room. This will also help to develop the final budget for the project.
