Incorporating computer simulations into the classroom has been shown to improve students' learning outcomes and provide educators with valuable tools to promote scientific inquiry among students.
1 Νοε 2010 · The aim of the present study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the interactive computer simulation program PhET to teach weight and mass concepts to high school students.
Computer simulations allow for student-centered, inquiry-based teaching and learning. Our studies show that simulations are not only experienced as appropriate for learning individually or in small groups, but also at the whole-class level.
This paper consists of four parts. The first part describes computer simulations; the second part reviews the benefits in science education; the third part looks for the relation with science process skills; and the last part makes connections with the distance education.
