8 Αυγ 2016 · You can try rebooting your computer and see if it hides Drive Z again. If not, you can try the following steps below: Type CMD on start menu to open Command Prompt.
8 Μαΐ 2016 · I suggest you to check whether the System Z drive is a System recovery drive or some other drive. 1. Click on Search bar. 2. Type "diskmgmt.msc" without the quotes in the search bar and click on it. 3. Then check description of the Z drive. Also check whether Z drive is recovery drive or System Drive.
2 Ιαν 2017 · I see drive C and drive D, but don't know what local disk Z is . It's 256 mb in size, and about half full. I can't open it to see what's on there since I get a message, "permission denied."
18 Ιαν 2017 · Recently, a new drive with letter Z showing up which cannot be opened to see what's inside. Here is the picture for better understanding. How to fix it? Sometimes, restarting system fixes temporarily. Right click menu: Disk Management view: It shows the unknown drive without the drive letter and says it is EFI something.
3 Σεπ 2016 · Today, as I browsing through my files, I noticed in the left pane of the Windows Explorer window that another "hard drive" or, for all I know, "partition", has appeard in the list of available disk drives. It's name is "SYSTEM (Z:)" and I have no clue how it got there.
