Open to the public daily from dawn until dusk, the Meadow represents 72 acres of natural habitat, rich in floral diversity and wildlife habitats. The Connemara Meadow Nature Preserve exists to create opportunities for people to learn about and enjoy the natural processes found here.
Kerrymor Farm began quietly in 1972 when the McKenna family of St. Louis bought a yearling Connemara for their youngest daughter to ride. The McKennas were thrilled with the gentle nature of the breed but wanted a Connemara that could compete successfully in the open show world.
Founded in 1981 by Frances Williams and her daughter, Amy Monier, as one the first land trusts in Texas, the Connemara Conservancy has been at the forefront of land conservation and environmental education in Texas for more than three decades.
Wayne Adam Ford (born December 3, 1961) is an American serial killer. Ford, a former long-haul truck driver, murdered four women from 1997 to 1998. He strangled them and dismembered three of his four victims. He turned himself in with a woman's breast in a bag in his coat pocket.
Carefully Conserving Natural Greenspace. With just under forty years in operation, the Connemara Conservancy has amassed over six thousand acres of open greenspace, spread throughout Texas. The geography protected by the land trust is divided into five primary sections, called eco-regions.
