Article 2. Respect and protection of the value of the human being constitute the primary obligations of the State. Greece, adhering to the generally recognised rules of international law, pursues the strengthening of peace and of justice, and the fostering of friendly relations between peoples and States.
Observance of the constitution is entrusted to the patriotism of the Greeks who shall have the right and the duty to resist by all possible means against anyone who attempts the violent abolition of the Constitution. Greece's Constitution of 1975 with Amendments through 2008.
