The CDE Professional Learning Opportunities database offers a list of in-person and online statewide professional learning opportunities sponsored by the CDE, county offices of education, local educational agencies, and institutions of higher education as well as other not-for-profit agencies.
(1) A teacher shall have completed, with passing grades, at least six postsecondary semester or equivalent quarter units of the education requirement specified in (c) (1) below; or shall have obtained a Child Development Assistant Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
Employed teachers admitted to the California Teacher Induction - Clear Credential Program (online) are introduced to the program curriculum and requirements, and identify professional goals for an individualized learning plan.
Professionally certified teachers and Level III certified paraprofessionals are required to collect a total of 100 professional development hours, called Continuing Teacher and Leader Education (CTLE) hours, by a state-approved provider such as the UFT Teacher Center.
