On the title screen you should be able to input the code “up up down down left right left right B A start” when the game starts it should say 30x lives. Here’s the thing - the ABXY buttons may not be mapped exactly A=A and B=B to the NES controller, so the code may be either of the following:
Gradius - Pausing the game and then entering the code Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, II, and I activates full options, missile, and shield. Life Force/Salamander - Enter the code at the title screen for 30 lives.
3 Μαΐ 2020 · Contra (for the NES) code is: Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right B A B A before the word Contra scrolls to the title screen is finished. That'll give you 30 lives. Super C for the NES's code is: Right Left Down Up A B Start. Same as before, finish before the scroll is done for the title screen.
Press Up(2), Down(2), Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A at the title screen. Then, press Start to begin the game in single player mode or Select + Start to begin in two player mode.
