8 Σεπ 2020 · PROBLEM SOLUTION: To fix this issue, you’ll need to deactivate and disable passwordless sign-in feature and it’ll immediately restore or add missing “Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer” checkbox in “control userpasswords2” or “netplwiz” programs.
28 Απρ 2021 · They removed the box when you goto cmd and typ control userpasswords2. You could uncheck the box that says ask for password when windows startup. So you dont have to typ password every time you start up.
25 Σεπ 2015 · I have found a fix for this issue in Windows 8/8.1 which involves going into user accounts and clocking on the reset security policies' option, but no such option is available in Windows 10.
16 Οκτ 2024 · Deleting DevicePasswordLessBuildVersion or setting it to 0 would enable the “Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer” checkbox. After disabling the above setting, close and reopen the User Accounts dialog by running netplwiz.exe or control userpasswords2.
2 Μαΐ 2021 · The Windows 10 version 2004 (or May 2020 Update) and newer versions don’t show the required “Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer” checkbox to some users. When the user runs “control userpasswords2” or “netplwiz” commands, they find the checkbox is missing.

4 Ιουν 2010 · When I run the 'control userpasswords2" from the Run prompt a User Accounts dialog comes up, however... the checkbox and "User must enter username and password to use this computer" is not there.
