PAY FOR PLAY IN COLLEGE ATHLETICS: WHY COST OF ATTENDANCE? Danielle Day* Abstract There is an ongoing dialogue about the most desirable model for compensation of collegiate student-athletes. The central question is whether the current model—capping compensation at cost of attendance—is the best method for all parties involved.
