10 Μαΐ 2010 · Costco is carrying a great T1i kit (with 18-55mm IS lens), 55-250mm IS lens, 4GB card, Canon Rebel Bag, miniHDMI cable and a tutorial DVD for $850+tax (comes to around $913). Our local best buy also has the T2i kit (with the 18-55mm IS lens) for $850+tax.
If you’re a fan of bulk buying and saving money, you’ll be pleased to know that Costco has arrived in Singapore. The American multinational corporation has opened a membership-only warehouse club in Joo Koon, Singapore, offering a wide range of products at discounted prices.
One idea is to get the kit and sell the lenses (kit lenses are heavily discounted) to fund a much more suitable one (ie better for low-light). Depending on your budget...it sounds like you'll be best off to get the newest (ie best ISO for low light) Rebel you can afford and the 50mm 1.8 II ($100ish dollars).
