Extended the crafting skill so you can now also use it make items out of leather. Take a cow hide to the tannery to get some leather. You can then use the leather with some thread to make gloves, boots and leather armour.
Cow hides are an item obtained as a drop from cows and used in Crafting. They are tanned into leather by a Tanner, then used to make leather armour, leather gloves, or boots by using the leather with a needle when there is thread in the player's inventory.
To tan soft leather with maximum efficiency, deploy a portable crafter near a bank or bank chest (for example, near the bank chest in the Lumbridge Market), make a preset with 28 cowhide, and load it. Then right-click the crafter and choose Tan Leather.
Leather (also known as soft leather to distinguish it from hard leather) is used in the Crafting skill to make leather armour and other leather items. It can be created by giving a cowhide to a tanner, or by using the Make Leather spell at level 83 Magic.
