Part 2 provides details regarding the changes made to CPS’ electronic IEP system (SSM IMPACT), including data collection for Extended School Year (ESY), paraprofessional support, separate day school, specific learning disabilities, and transportation.
Student Information System is a software application used by Chicago Public Schools to manage student data, such as attendance, grades, schedules, assessment results, and other relevant information. The system helps schools and teachers keep track of student progress and streamline administrative tasks.
Ensuring that Section 504 Plans are finalized in Student Services Management (SSM) at the Section 504 meeting; Ensuring that students with disabilities who qualify under Section 504 have access to all the school’s curricular areas, non-academic areas and extracurricular activities;
Liaison for Special Education between ISBE and CPS. Independently monitors IEPs and school-based data via SSM Oversees/approves/attends all Special Education policy
Currently, the following 9 Frameworks are in use in the CPS REACH evaluation system: There are currently six addenda available for teachers in the following subjects/grade-levels: Arts, English Learners, Physical Education, Preschool, Preschool through 2nd Grade, and Special Education.
With ISBE review and approval, CPS utilized SSM data to identify a class of students who were potentially impacted in one or more of the five areas listed above. Approximately 9,500 students were identified as potentially impacted.
Authorized users of ODA will be able to complete business function assignments online; ODA is accessible from the IMPACT Web site at http://impact.cps.k12.il.us, and only available to authorized CPS employees. All schools will use ODA to create business function assignments.
